A Taste of Sweetness

A Taste of Sweetness is owned and operated by cake decorator Simone Proctor. Simone has always had a love for baking, even as a young child she remembers following her mother's recipe books. She soon was labeled a "Cake Monster" by family and friends due to her love for cake. In 2002 Simone began to pursue her lifelong dream as a cake decorator by enrolling in some basic cake decorating classes. She began to decorate cakes for mostly family and friends and it didn't take long before word got out to others about her work. Through the course of the years she began to receive so many orders for different occasions she decided to begin designing professionally.

 

Currently Simone is enrolled in Anne Arundel Community College studying to become a pastry chef.   In addition to taking courses at AACC, she also takes a lot of continuing education courses to keep up with the latest and greatest trends of cake decorating. Simone is very motivated and constantly trying to out do herself by making never seen before cake creations.
